Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Fire Sprinkler Installation Project Manager to oversee and manage multiple fire sprinkler projects. This role includes comprehensive project oversight, from reviewing scope and designs to coordinating with contractors and ensuring timely project completion. The ideal candidate should possess strong organizational skills, technical expertise, and the ability to work effectively with various teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  1. Review project scope and specifications to ensure contract requirements are met.
  2. Obtain project-related drawings from construction managers/design firms.
  3. Collaborate with designers to ensure code-compliant, maintainable systems are created.
  4. Conduct on-site surveys to review scope and logistics.
  5. Review and approve shop drawings before fabrication to confirm accuracy and feasibility.
  6. Order and coordinate delivery of materials with foremen or the Operations Manager.
  7. Prepare and submit shop drawings and material submittals to construction managers and authorities having jurisdiction.
  8. Handle permits and licensing applications as required.
  9. Develop and manage a schedule of values.
  10. Identify scope changes and create necessary change orders.
  11. Attend project meetings in person or via Zoom.
  12. Maintain organized project files.
  13. Ensure projects stay on schedule and coordinate with other trades as required.
  14. Hire and manage subcontractors for special hazard systems and underground work.
  15. Regularly visit job sites to review progress and assist with design challenges.
  16. Order, pick up, or deliver materials to job sites as needed.
  17. Print shop drawings and provide them to appropriate team members.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of construction project management experience, preferably in fire sprinkler systems or a related industry.
  • Knowledge: Strong familiarity with NFPA codes and fire sprinkler systems.
  • Skills:
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Education: High school diploma required, college degree preferred. Additional certifications in project management or construction are a plus.
  • Other:
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Willingness to travel within the company’s service area.
